Instructions for Safe Use of Family Fireworks

Location - Ideally pick a location where there is a minimum of combustible materials i.e. long grass, trees, buildings, etc. Best site is beach or shorefront as water reflects both the light and sound effects. Mown lawn or parking area is also good. Preferably, crowd should face east as this will give you the darkest sky. Particularly in summer.

Safety first - it is recommended that devices are securely anchored so they do not tip over during firing. However this is accomplished is limited only by your imagination and materials at hand. Items can be tied to, taped to, wired to, nailed to, as well as buried in. If sandy beach is not at hand then containers, wheelbarrows, tubs, anything that can be filled with sand or soil or gravel, or whatever is handy and non flammable. Another good method I have seen is hot gluing items to slabs, planks, plywood, whatever. This method enables one to organize and set out the show in preferred order at leisurure and in daylight. As well as opening up possibilities of combinations. With setting up at show time just a matter of laying out these panels and ensuring they are steady and weighting if necessary. After the show, spent items and the glue comes off the panel material cleanly and fairly easily. No matter what the method the main idea here is so when you give them a good jiggle by hand at the muzzle or outlet end they are sturdy. It is also recommended that items are pointed at a slight angle away from crowd for even extra security. As well, see that pails or garden sprayers filled with water are on hand. Quoting one of murphy's laws. The better you are prepared for it, the less chance it will happen. Safety glasses or shatterproof prescription lenses are a must and of primary importance for the shooter.
Children - Children love fireworks and in my opinion can be safely involved in shooting if wearing safety glasses and a responsible adult is standing right next to them. I have always thought it is better to involve interested children with you supervising than have them sneaking off on their own. Shooters should pick a clear line of retreat and normally back off while facing the lit device. DO NOT RUN.
Operation - If a device fails to perform after fuse is lit. Ignore it, proceed with your show. Why? This is yet another of the reasons to shop with us, pyroex.ca. We are the only outlet we have heard of that pleads with its customers to return dud items. We can do this because all our product are individually inspected and then marked as ours to ensure best possible outcomes for the customer.
The MOST IMPORTANT RULE - would be to ensure at all times head or face is not over business end of these devices. Strikingly similar are the rules for fireworks or firearms.
